Drawings by kindergarten children

In kindergartens there is always an opportunity for children to draw. It is primarily important that by the age of six a child has developed the skill to confidently hold a pencil so that they are ready for school. The first steps in drawing are the to-and-fro and the circular scribble. A sense of aesthetics is important at this age, as well as the development of the sense of colour and becoming familiar with various materials. Along with continuous subtle motoric development children’s drawing skills, eye-hand coordination and an expressive depiction technique are formed.
